Our “big ink,” the Petite Sirah was our wild hair when we planted it in 2009. But this varietal is thriving in West Paso and WRW Petite Sirah is no exception—an exciting reflection of the rugged location of our carefully farmed, low-yield vineyard.
The 2015 Petite Sirah needs a little more time to come together, but it already has enticing aromas of marionberry, blackberry, baking spices, garrigue, incense, pastrami, and mustard seed.
The palate is big with flavors of blackberry, tart black cherry, pepper, black olive, cedary oak, smoked brisket, molasses, green curry, and lemongrass.
