Rated 90 by Wine Enthusiast! William Robert Estate Cuvée is the best of Paso. Sometimes referred to as “SuperPaso” in homage to the Italian SuperTuscan blends, this wine will always be composed of three of our four varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and a dash of Petit Verdot.
The 2015 Estate Cuvée is quite burly and monolithic at the moment, but there is some incredible complexity just waiting to come out once it softens a bit. The aromatics scream of mahogany, blackcurrant, cigar box, blueberry, black cherry, antique store, marjoram, duck fat, and freshly turned soil.
The palate flows across the tongue with savory cassis, smokey oak, blackberry reduction, sage, brine, and black truffle.
